DROPS Cotton Merino is a combination of extra fine merino and long cotton fibres. We have chosen not to card the merino wool and the cotton together, which highlights each of the properties of the fibre in a better way, while at the same time allowing to achieve more vibrant colours and textures. And as in all our merino yarns, the merino wool originates from free-range animals in South America.
Made from many thin strands spun together, which give the yarn roundness and elasticity, it is especially suitable for cable, structure and moss patterns. This special construction makes it extra important to treat the garment right: make sure that you knit with the correct tension and rather use a tight tension than loose. Don't wash your garment too warm, never leave it to soak and let the garment dry flat.
Very pleasant to work with, DROPS Cotton Merino provides comfortable garments with clear and regular stitches. The wool is superwash treated and very gentle on the skin, which makes it suitable for baby and children clothing.Made in EU
This yarn has an Oeko-Tex® certification (certificate number 25.3.0016), Standard 100, Class I. This means that it has been tested and found completely free from harmful chemicals and that it is safe for human use. Class I is the highest level, and it means the yarn is suitable for baby articles (ages 0-3).

DROPS Cotton Merino ist aus exklusiver Merinowolle extrafine und langstapeliger Baumwollfaser gesponnen. Wir haben uns entschieden, die Merinowolle und die Baumwolle nicht zusammen zu kardieren, was dazu führt, dass die Eigenschaften beider Garne mehr betont werden und die Farben und die Textur lebendiger erscheinen. Wie bei all unseren Merinogarnen stammt die Merinowolle auch hier aus Freilandhaltung von Tieren aus Südamerika.
Das Garn ist aus vielen dünnen Fäden gesponnen, was ihm Fülle und Elastizität verleiht, es ist besonders für Zopfmuster, Strukturmuster und Perlmuster geeignet. Aufgrund des speziellen Garnaufbaus ist es besonders wichtig, die daraus gefertigten Teile korrekt zu behandeln: Achten Sie darauf, mit der richtigen Maschenprobe zu arbeiten und wählen Sie lieber eine etwas festere Maschenprobe als eine lockere. Waschen Sie das Teil nicht zu warm, und es sollte sich nie völlig mit Wasser vollsaugen. Lassen Sie das Teil liegend trocknen.
DROPS Cotton Merino ist sehr gut zu verarbeiten und liefert angenehm zu tragende Kleidungsstücke mit einem klaren und gleichmäßigen Maschenbild. Die Wolle ist superwash behandelt und sehr weich auf der Haut, was sie auch für Baby- und Kinderkleidung geeignet macht.Made in EU
